We begin with a gentle yoga-inspired warm up that offers movement and discovery that is natural and comfortable but also challenging. We continue on while melting into smooth floor movement that will help set the stage for a beautiful routine. Discover the exotic beauty of your own body. Gently and seductively, we introduce you to the pole. We use the pole for balance, connection and celebration. Imagine it being a lover, dance partner or an object of physical strength. Every class is full of ideas and inspiration.
Kitty and Heather are experienced dancers with real exotic dance moves that have taken many years of hard work to perfect. On and off stage our moves are endless and offer a challenging alternative to traditional workouts and dance routines. What to wear to class:
Yoga pants, work out shorts and tank top. Something you can move in. Bare skin is needed for pole dancing as it assists in grip and static positioning.
Cloth style knee pads (optional). These can be purchased at any sporting goods store for around $10.
4-6 inch exotic dancer shoes (optional)
Pole Safety
Your safety is our number one concern.
You will be required to sign a release of liability form at the start of each series. Although we pride ourselves in teaching safe movement it is the student's responsibility to refrain from doing moves outside of their physical ability. Students should talk with the instructor before attempting new tricks.
Please advise your instructor of any old or on going injuries or disabilities so that they can assist you better in your movement.
Please do not wear any lotion or oils as this makes the pole slippery and can be dangerous.
We encourage you to progress through the pole work at your own pace. We offer our movements as a guide; the rest is brought to life by the student. We provide individual instruction and attention to each woman so that she can master the techniques that are offered. Our classes are small for this reason. We are supportive and have fun in each and every class.
Review Classes
We have review classes for our students. These classes give students an opportunity to review material from a particular level. Review classes are held at the end of each series. All current and former students are welcome to attend reviews that suit their current skill level. Reviews will include an hour of instruction and 30 minutes of open pole practice. REVIEW CLASSES ARE $12. PLEASE RSVP IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND.Please see our calendar page for dates and times.
